The Plunge

So, today is the big day. I came to work at Pura Vida Missions to lead youth and other groups on missions trips here in Costa Rica. We are starting a long four weeks of non-stop groups. I'm excited and nervous. I'll be working with two other young adults, Missy and Julia. Today the first group will arrive in just a few minutes. After all of the groups arrive today, we will have over one hundred youth. We have an incredible group of staff totalling around 20 people. We have been having staff training for the past week and I am going to miss spending the time with the group. When we are on outreach, which will be 6 of the 9 days that we have each group, I will be with my two co-leaders and our group.
So we are just waiting here at the base and anxiously awaiting the arrival of 100 high school youth. Scary thought. I'm pumped, and ready to go, though.
